Bëj is the brainchild of Van Luera and Bell Granados. We care about quality, beauty, sustainable behaviors, and the relationship between maker and product. We both personally create and personally know our featured makers. To us, supporting the arts means supporting the artists and makers, too. We want a space for makers to thrive. 
Consignment holds both passion for sustainability, and for fashion. The textile production cycle is deeply damaging to our planet and our disposability mindset. Bringing handmade and second-hand together is antithetical to the over-active, conglomerate centric productions of clothing, jewelry, home goods, etc, that we see happening today. Bëj is an Albanian word that means “I make”. We chose this name in honor of heritage, but also in honor of action.
